The Government Affairs Committee serves as the voice of business for the Metrocrest region, bringing together Chamber members from a variety of industries to stay informed, engaged, and represented on public policy issues. The committee monitors and tracks legislation, provides timely updates to members, and advocates for business interests at the local, state, and federal levels. It also fosters relationships with elected officials and community leaders while focusing on issues that impact economic competitiveness, workforce development, infrastructure, education, and overall quality of life.
The Membership Committee supports the growth and strength of the Metrocrest Area Chamber by focusing on member recruitment, retention, and engagement. The committee helps ensure a strong return on investment for Chamber members by advising on outreach strategies, member experience, and programs that support business success.
Key responsibilities include supporting membership growth initiatives, providing input on marketing and engagement strategies, reviewing membership structure and policies, enhancing the new member onboarding experience, recognizing long-standing members, and collaborating with the Ambassador Program to build meaningful connections across the Chamber.
The Workforce Development Committee connects employers, school districts, higher education partners, and workforce organizations to strengthen talent pipelines across the Metrocrest region. The committee focuses on aligning education with real-world business needs by supporting career pathways, internships, employer engagement, and workforce readiness initiatives.
By assessing employer needs and industry trends, the committee helps inform workforce programs that prepare students and job seekers for in-demand careers while supporting the long-term competitiveness of the regional economy.
